FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
October 12, 2023 – Lambda Theta Alpha joined thousands of organizations nationwide in the mass celebration of National Voter Registration Day on September 19, 2023, to register voters. Every election season, thousands of Americans forfeit their right to vote due to a missed deadline or lack of information on how to register to vote. As such, Lambda Theta Alpha carried out its commitment to ensuring that our communities register to vote and make their voice heard.
Local elections directly impact our neighborhoods and have historically drawn fewer voters. In an effort to increase participation, the sorority’s National Political Education Initiative Committee provided resources to numerous chapters across the country to organize local events.
This year, we are proud to share that at least twenty-two chapters participated in National Voter Registration Day. They connected with their local communities and campuses to register people to vote in person and virtually, highlighting the importance of making your voice heard in our elections.
Participating chapters included:
Epsilon Chapter Rutgers University – New Brunswick | Epsilon Gamma Chapter University of Illinois at Chicago | Alpha Eta Alumnae Chapter Los Angeles, CA |
Epsilon Alpha Chapter Kennesaw State University | Zeta Lambda Chapter Western Michigan University | Zeta Chi Chapter University of Northern Colorado |
Zeta Sigma Chapter Washington State University | Alpha Nu Alumnae Chapter Philadelphia, PA | Zeta Sigma Chapter Washington State University |
Alpha Sigma Alumnae Chapter Atlanta, GA | Alpha Delta Alumnae Chapter Silver Spring, MD | Epsilon Pi Chapter Michigan State University |
Alpha Mu Alumnae Chapter Detroit, MI | Zeta Psi Chapter California State University, Dominguez Hills | Delta Chapter Seton Hall University |
Beta Gamma Chapter University of South Florida | Beta Omicron Chapter University of Michigan | Alpha Chi Alumnae Chapter San Francisco, CA |
Delta Upsilon Chapter Lehigh University | Epsilon Theta Chapter Ohio State University | New Jersey Area 3 |

Aligned with its mission to promote political activism, Lambda Theta Alpha is proud to continue its partnership with National Voter Registration Day. September 19, 2023, marks 11 years of democracy that’s helped over 4.7 million Americans register to vote.
The National Political Education Initiative Committee would like to thank all the chapters and members who participated in this year’s National Voter Registration Day. Be sure to check out the hashtags #LTAVotes #LTAPEI and #NationalVoterRegistrationDay for pictures of all our members’ hard work.
