September 25th, 2024 – Lambda Theta Alpha joined thousands of organizations nationwide in the mass 12th annual National Voter Registration Day on September 17th, 2024, to register voters. Every election season, thousands of Americans forfeit their right to vote due to a missed deadline or lack of information on how to register to vote. This election season, Lambda Theta Alpha carried out its commitment to ensuring that our communities register to vote and make their voice heard.
The democracy in the United States works best when more of us participate. In an effort to increase participation, the sorority’s National Political Education Initiative Committee provided resources to numerous chapters across the country to organize local events.
Through these efforts, our sisterhood actively contributed to a national movement to increase voter turnout and ensure that every eligible voter in our communities has the opportunity to make their voice heard. By working together, we demonstrated the power of unified action and the values that bind us as sisters—service, leadership, and advocacy.
This year, we are proud to share that at least fourteen chapters participated in National Voter Registration Day. They connected with their local communities and campuses to register people to vote in person and virtually, highlighting the importance of making your voice heard in our elections.

Aligned with its mission to promote political activism, Lambda Theta Alpha is proud to continue its partnership with National Voter Registration Day. September 17, 2024, marks 12 years of democracy that’s helped over 4.7 million Americans register to vote.
