Lambda Theta Alpha Participates in National Hazing Prevention Week

Monday, September 18, 2017 – Lambda Theta Alpha Participates in National Hazing Prevention Week

National Hazing Prevention Week is Monday, September 18 through Friday, September 22. In support of National Hazing Prevention Week, Lambda Theta Alpha alumnae and undergraduate Chapters will participate by hosting events that will promote awareness of anti-hazing practices as well as educating their campuses and communities of their respective state and university hazing laws.

Lambda Theta Alpha believes in providing constructive, educational, and inspirational programs for orientees, new members and active members. Lambda Theta Alpha is opposed to any form of hazing, including any activities which do not contribute to the positive development and welfare of our orientees. Lambda Theta Alpha believes that true Sisterhood is nurtured in an atmosphere of social and moral responsibility, respect for authority and loyalty to the principles of higher education.

We look forward to seeing all of the creative and unique events throughout the week and are excited to see our sisters increasing anti-hazing awareness. Throughout the week, we will spotlight various events hosted by different chapters across the nation. We encourage everyone to engage in the national conversation and follow the hashtags #NHPW17 and #LTA1975 on social media.
